art and controls i’m leaving out of my judgment. While both add to the gameplay it really wasn’t my issue. it was just that it felt like they were catering to people who just managed to wipe their ass.yeah, that’s the one thing keeping it down, I’ll definitely agree that they spoon fed a lot to you. And Fi was the most unnecessary character. I still say it was one of the better games released last year, though
it was so focused on selling to entire families with trying to make people understand those controls like the useless area at the beginning. You can learn while you progress, but instead they just made a “subtle” tutorial out of it.
that and i feel like they recycled some from TP, like the maniacal demiboss, only now with added flamboyance
because zant got a lot of love for that shit
fi was indeed unnecessary. I also thought the fact she acted like some sort of robot with the percentages kind of off for skyward
but i guess it kind of is understandable for a wii-game, i mean Zelda’s meant to be one of the titles that just has to sell for Nintendo, and with wii being mainly a family console.
not saying there aint mature games on the wii, it’s just the marketing they aimed towards.
i also kinda hoped, but i’m not going to hold against the game, that they’d elaborate more on certain races/lore here and there. t’was mostly the whole ganon origin story, and that’s cool an all, but i’m curious as hell
but oh well, i can’t say i was too disappointed with ‘11 releases like Portal, Dead Space, etc. I’ll prob continue shelling out dope for Zelda, but not full price.

for a game catered to people “who just managed to wipe their ass”, that final battle was pretty difficult
